6D Hanoi - Ha Long - Sapa by Train (P/CLN/6/1)

Attracted by breathtaking bays, stunning rice terraces and spectacular scenery spots, Northern Vietnam makes any tourist unforgettable impressions about the oldest region of the country.

Hanoi - the city of the triangular basin of the Red River. With around 3.5 million people, and an area of 920 square km, Hanoi is the center of economy, politics, culture, and society of Vietnam. Let's discover traditional temples, monuments, and pockets of ancient culture along the narrow streets of the Old quarter in the beautiful city with elegant tree-lined boulevards and many lakes….

Ha Long Bay is located in the northeastern part of Vietnam. In a not very large area, thousands of islands with different forms look like glittering emeralds attached to the blue scarf of a virgin. The area where many stone islands concentrate has spectacular scenes and world-famous caves is the center of Ha Long Bay Natural Heritage. They are the result of many times of rising and lowering processes of the continent to form a karst. The process of nearly full erosion and weathering of the karst created the unique Ha Long Bay in the world.

Sapa was originally built as a hill station by the French in the early years of XX century. They constructed villas, a small hydroelectric station, a church, tennis courts, even an aerodrome. All still remain in Sapa today. Tucked high in Vietnam's remote northern mountains, the former French military outpost of Sapa offers some of Vietnam's most colorful experiences. The views are breath taking. Vietnam's highest peak, the 3,143-metre Mount Fansipan, looms overhead, while the surrounding valleys feature terraced rice paddies and blazing green fields…
